We Now Offer Virtual Training and PD

 In NEWS

As many of you already know, we welcome opportunities to visit our Indigenous community partners and schools. We love meeting educators, administrators, learners, and community members. We love seeing the beautiful landscapes and participating in community feasts and celebrations. Our team wants to really get to know the people we’ll be working with.

However, this year is a bit different. We understand that keeping our partners and their communities safe is paramount. Coming to visit isn’t an option for now. However, we want to ensure that we still have the opportunity to get to know each other and learn about your school and community.

We’ve spent the summer building virtual training programs and professional development sessions that incorporate the best elements of our in-person training sessions. We spent time exploring how to adapt these sessions for online tools. We adapted our content and materials to fit the new options for online delivery best.

Our team designed the training sessions around attendee participation. We use virtual breakout rooms and group activities to encourage dialogue and contribution from all attendees.

In addition to our virtual training sessions, we offer virtual professional development sessions for educators. These sessions address various topics, from integrating technology into classroom instruction to hybrid teaching techniques and incorporating Indigenous perspectives. We can work with you to design a specific session to benefit your educators if you have something in mind.
