Our Platform
Learning Bird offers a web-based platform with classroom resources for learners in grades 5-12 across math, science, social studies, English language arts, and language and culture.
Many of the resources on our platform are designed in collaboration with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and schools. Most of our platform content was created with an Indigenous point of view, and materials include Indigenous ways of knowing.
Our platform contains thousands of presentations, videos, handouts, and activities, as well as other materials that teachers can use with their students in a classroom setting, either online or in person. Several of our resources also have accompanying educator guides, which guide teachers on how to use the resources in their instruction and suggest activities and modifications.
Class Pages for Easy Sharing
The Learning Bird platform is easy to use and designed for teachers who want to find content to include in their lessons and organize it in a simple, accessible way. Learning Bird’s class pages provide educators with a way to find, organize, and save content to share with their students, without creating logins or managing credentials.
Teachers can organize their class pages however they like and share them with students, or they can share an individual resource.
Private Sharing of Local Resources
Learning Bird provides communities with an easy way to share locally created resources in their schools. Learning Bird makes resources searchable, shows curriculum alignment (where applicable), and limits access to those on the school domain without requiring individual logins and access support.
Teacher Training and Support
Our team are all former classroom teachers, and we understand how important the onboarding process is for any new technology. We provide initial product training, either in-person or virtual, as well as ongoing support throughout the school year for content, technology or resource implementation.
